Everyone’s got somewhere to be
Holding coffee, taking calls,
Looking like they’ve figured it all
I’m just walking,
No reason, no rush
Just letting my thoughts fill up the hush
Everyone seems fine
So I fake a little smile
Fix my hair, straighten my spine
No one’s watching anyway
But I still act like I’m okay

Elevator mirror says I’m here
But I look like someone else this year
Eyes avoid, lips smile
It’s me, but not for a while
I don’t watch the news these days

Everyone’s chasing something big
So I shrink back into my own skin
Maybe everyone’s pretending too
Wearing “fine” like something new
Maybe I’m not the only one
Feeling stuck under the sun
Everyone seems fine
