Justifying

In the wake of our parting,
Alone I ponder, reasons darting.
Crafting excuses to ease the sting,
Justifying myself, in a self-made ring.
You see, paths diverge, it's true,
Yet my reasons paint a different hue.
Life's intricate dance, a silent clue,
I whisper excuses, as if on cue.
Our love's tale, now reframed,
Reasons spoken, emotions named.
In solitude, I find my aim,
Justifying my heart, without shame.
