Curtains drawn but clouds stay near,
Empty rooms hum the sound of fear,
Raindrops don't fall, but I feel them here,
Grey thoughts linger, quiet but clear.
Old piano keys hum soft and slow,
Muted sax sighs, letting me know,
That storms don’t need thunder to start,
They grow in the corners of my heart.
Quiet storm inside, nowhere to run,
No skies to blame, no fading sun,
In silent drops my feelings hide,
Grey clouds forming on the inside.
