Let the World Run

(Verse 1)
They said someone’s name
and the room lit up
A friend from before—
doing well, rising fast
You smiled like you meant it
said, “That’s great for them”
But something inside you
quietly dimmed again
You stared at your hands
like they held your lack
Same age, same start—
but you feel so far back
(Verse 2)
They’ve moved ahead
new homes, warm lives
And you just sit there
scrolling through the shine
You try to cheer yourself on
but your chest gets tight
That voice returns:
“You’re not getting it right”
You hate the way
you shrink inside
Like you’re fading
while they rise
(Chorus)
But you're still here—
in all the ache
Still waking up, still staying awake
Even if the joy feels gone
Even if you feel undone
The ache itself
means you still care
And in that caring,
you are still there
You’re still here
That means something
(Verse 3)
You think your story's
too slow to matter
You hide your hopes
like they’re cracked and scattered
But what they don’t see
are the nights you survive
The hours it takes
just to stay alive
Your pace is quiet
but it’s still a fight
And there’s no shame
in taking your time
(Bridge)
I won’t tell you to rise today
Or force the pain to go away
But I’ll stay here
beside your doubt
Until your breath
can find its way out
You don’t have to
believe me yet
But the part of you
that hasn’t left—
That part is hope
even if small
And hope that stays
can still stand tall
(Final Chorus)
You’re still here
and that is truth
Even if you feel removed
You’re not behind
You’re not erased
You are someone
still taking space
Let the world run
You’re not in a race
You’re learning trust
You’re building grace
You’re still here
And that’s enough
