I was basking in the lock in,
I was seeing dope,
to wrestle some semblance of pride, you
had heaven and me hold the throne,
a mezzanine, four flights -
did you leave on time?
You rent forty rooms a night…
In an attic or a coffin?
I’ve been leaning both…
as if an ambulance arrived when
I wasn’t even comatose.
Did you sleep alright,
didn’t they leave the light on?
Surely soon we’ll go outside?
Stop it,
don’t mind me,
I wasn’t trying to pry,
I only want a lay down,
incohesively involved here,
drop it,
unfind me,
I won’t be over long.
Your faces fell,
such a
coward,
don’t mind me,
I can manage,
lock-eyes and leave,
you’re never gonna find me, honest,
it’s unlike me,
but I can behave,

She’s another one and only,
all I can see now,
I’ll recover, but for a while I’ll cope,

There was definitely a doorway,
setting up the edge
oh, to be far enough along that
we didn’t even know we’re close.
This has been lifelike,
‘Serenity Now!’, right?
Taking forty winks a night.
And it was happening so often…
the only place had closed,
where have the caveats been hiding?
I didn’t even overdose!
