Growing Pains

Oh, when they talk about stocks
I feel like I’m a baby again
Where did my friends go?
Oh, they look so gigantic to me
Should I buy some stocks to be an adult?
Look at the bills I have to pay
They're pilling up like a mountain

I hope that they ain't my duty forever
Should I be a millionaire to be an adult?
I'm sick of the mundane routine
I'm just spinning my wheels day by day
Everything used to be fun
Now I'm spending a fortune for pleasure
Should I bear the boredom to be an adult?
Am I on a desert island?
Where did everyone disappear to?
Now everything's up to me
I'll be okay 'cause now I'm aware
Should I get used to being alone to be an adult?
I got taller and stronger like the grown-ups
But that doesn’t mean I'm really mature
I wish I could stay young forever, but now...
