Sorry Sight

I've never been so unsure of myself
Dragging my feet just so I don't keep still
I'll pick up the pieces when I'm ready and well
But until then I'll put myself through hell
I'll go right ahead when this is over
I've got a sore neck from looking over my shoulder
I'll pick up the pieces when I'm a little older
But until then I'll keep getting closer
Don't close the curtains or dim the lights
The outside world is such a sorry sight
I've never been so unsure of myself
I'd say that with certainty but I can't really tell
