They used to bloom by your hello
Now they rest in amber glow
Even the petals seem to know
Time passed quiet, soft and slow
Your scent still haunts the windowpane
Like dusty sun after the rain
I trace your name in morning light
On crumpled paper, worn but right
Dried flowers on my desk remain
More loyal than the fleeting rain
They hold your warmth, they fade like us
But never once gave up on trust
Pages turned, the ink still stays
You loved in ordinary ways
No fireworks, no grand parade
