Brush my teeth, let the world pass by
Coffee warm, but questions cold
What does it mean to grow old?
I scroll through lives on little screens
Everyone’s chasing different dreams
But deep down, I still can’t tell
What it really means to live well
Is it smiles on sunny days
Or loving someone in quiet ways?
How do you live well — is it in the climb?
Is it found in silence, or passing time?
Is it dancing barefoot in the rain
Or learning how to carry pain?
Is it chasing big or choosing small?
Maybe it’s just loving through it all
I’m not sure yet, but I can tell

I met a stranger on the train
She said peace comes after pain
A child laughed and held my hand
Like he knew things I couldn’t understand
The world is loud, but hearts are kind
Maybe truth’s in what we leave behind
So I write my days like open letters
Hoping somehow I’ll feel better
