I've been walking from downtown
Shelton for days in east Connecticut
Eat only what I find along the 108
but it barely gives me strength
How can people see it when
they're speeding by on the interstate at night
Dont worry ma'am they're only really
whizzing by between 2 and 5am
The rest of the day is so full that no one moves
But there's hope yet there's hope yet
Spent my life sat on fences watching freight trains pass
I’m an old cat watching stars
I while away the hours and think about my home
I don't want them worrying
My baby’s been missing for months
I want him back said Mrs Clyde aged 56
I’ve not really slept since February 25th
I’ll admit said Mrs Clyde 56
Now it's been five weeks I’ve just about given up
I walk the same route but I can barely stand up
The things I see around me that
I seem to recognise are what keep me connected
And let me know that I won't forget
