My escape from everything
only keeps my heart beating.
loud so I won't notice all
the crashes overhead.
Each decent laugh in
such sharp contrast
to everyday consumed.
Stop to think but
before I can blink
its all over too soon
Fall apart, hit the floor and
we'll face the crowd together.
All pieces of one puzzle but
it never fits together.
But I just might find
myself at peace of mind.
