하늘과 땅도 우리의 주님을 붙들 수 없었고 주 오실 때엔 하늘과 땅도 멀리 도망가리라.
쓸쓸한 겨울, 마구간 하나로 충분하셨네. 전능하신 우리 주 예수 그리스도.

천사들과 대천사들이 그곳에 모였으리. 케루빔과 세라핌도 공중에 있었으리.
그러나 그분의 어머니만이 환희 속에 사랑하는 아들에게 입 맞추며 경배하였네.

가난한 나는 그분께 무얼 드려야 하나? 내가 만일 목동이라면 한 마리 양을 드리겠네.
내가 만일 동방박사라면 경배 드렸을 텐데, 내가 드릴 수 있는 것은 내 마음뿐이라네.
