시편56장
1 하나님이여 내게 은혜를 베푸소서 사람이 나를 삼키려고 종일 치며 압제하나이다 Be merciful to me, O God, for men hotly pursue me; all day long they press their attack.
2 내 원수가 종일 나를 삼키려 하며 나를 교만하게 치는 자들이 많사오니 My slanderers pursue me all day long; many are attacking me in their pride.
3 내가 두려워하는 날에는 내가 주를 의지하리이다
When I am afraid, I will trust in you.
4 내가 하나님을 의지하고 그 말씀을 찬송하올지라 내가 하나님을 의지하였은즉 두려워하지 아니하리니 혈육을 가진 사람이 내게 어찌하리이까
In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?
5 그들이 종일 내 말을 곡해하며 나를 치는 그들의 모든 생각은 사악이라 All day long they twist my words; they are always plotting to harm me.
6 그들이 내 생명을 엿보았던 것과 같이 또 모여 숨어 내 발자취를 지켜보나이다
They conspire, they lurk, they watch my steps, eager to take my life.
7 그들이 악을 행하고야 안전하오리이까 하나님이여 분노하사 뭇 백성을 낮추소서
On no account let them escape; in your anger, O God, bring down the nations.
8 나의 유리함을 주께서 계수하셨사오니 나의 눈물을 주의 병에 담으소서 이것이 주의 책에 기록되지 아니하였나이까
Record my lament; list my tears on your scroll-are they not in your record?
9 내가 아뢰는 날에 내 원수들이 물러가리니 이것으로 하나님이 내 편이심을 내가 아나이다
Then my enemies will turn back when I call for help. By this I will know that God is for me.
10 내가 하나님을 의지하여 그의 말씀을 찬송하며 여호와를 의지하여 그의 말씀을 찬송하리이다
In God, whose word I praise, in the LORD, whose word I praise-
11 내가 하나님을 의지하였은즉 두려워하지 아니하리니 사람이 내게 어찌하리이까 in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?
12 하나님이여 내가 주께 서원함이 있사온즉 내가 감사제를 주께 드리리니 I am under vows to you, O God; I will present my thank offerings to you.
13 주께서 내 생명을 사망에서 건지셨음이라 주께서 나로 하나님 앞, 생명의 빛에 다니게 하시려고 실족하지 아니하게 하지 아니하셨나이까 For you have delivered me from death and my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of life.
