닐 프리모스(Neil Primrose / 드럼)를 멤버로 하는
브릿팝 밴드로 1997년에 데뷔 앨범 [Good Feeling]을 발표했다.
1998년 브릿 어워즈에서 최고 신인상을 수상.
두 번째 앨범인 1999년 작 [The Man Who]를 발표하면서
이름을 더 널리 알려졌고 이 앨범은 베스트셀러가 됐고
2000년 브릿 어워즈에서 최고 그룹상과 최고 앨범상을 수상했다.
2001년에는 미국을 오가며 녹음한 [Invisible Band]를 발표하는데
전작보다 더 멜로디컬한 음반으로, 작곡을 맡은 프랜 힐리가
연인과 한참 좋을 때 만들어진 앨범이라 어찌나 달콤한지
꿀물이 뚝뚝 떨어지는 경지이다. Sing, Flowers In The Window 등
단 한 곡 버릴 것 없이 잘 만들어진 앨범을 들고 트래비스는
2002년 브릿 어워즈에서 한 번 더 최고 그룹상을 수상했다.
그리고 2년마다 앨범을 낸다는 암묵적인 규칙을 지키며 활동중이다.
