The sun is low upon the fields
The sky is cold
And it throws down icy snow
The lakes are glass
The river's all a frozen mass
The trees are bare
And the north wind blows the air
But the children dance and sing

태양은 벌판에 낮게 드리우고
싸늘한 하늘은
차디찬 눈을 뿌리네
유리 같은 호수
한데 얼어 붙은 강
벌거벗은 나무
그리고 불어 오는 북풍
하지만 아이들은 봄이 온 것처럼
춤추고 노래 하네
계절이 만물을 변화 시킬 때
그 안에서 즐거움을 찾는 아이들
태양이 높이 떠 오르고
봄비가 다녀가고
러시아의 눈도 녹일 만큼
무더운 여름날
들녘은 황금빛으로 물들고
대지를 자라게 할 비는 오지 않네
햇살에 지치고 피곤해진
어르신들의 한숨
하지만 아이들은 봄이 온 것처럼
춤추고 노래 하네

가을 안개 사이로
9월의 낙엽이 떨어지고
여름 날의 끝을 알리는
학교의 종소리
지나 버린 따스한 밤과
노랗게 물든 나뭇잎
그리고 겨울이 다가 오면
또 다시 닫히는 창문
하지만 아이들은 봄이 온 것처럼
춤추고 노래 하네
계절이 만물을 변화 시킬 때
그 안에서 즐거움을 찾는 아이들
나도 웃고 춤추면서
노래하는 아이들을 지켜 볼거야
그러면 그 무엇에서도
행복을 찾을 수 있겠지
